Gerhard Richter


I saw this painting at the small private gallery that the MOMA operates out of the 1st floor of the Gap Corporate building here in San Francisco. I think the only way you can see it is if you have a willing Gap Corporate employee as your escort. Anyway, it's my favorite Richter painting, and breathtaking in person.

Richter really is amazing!

Yeah, the show had a pretty good start on Saturday. It was a lot of fun.

The way Richter spans both realism and abstraction is great -- its the rare artist who finds a home on both sides of the fence. -- Kevin
